Death of Thomas Venner,—
Mr, Thomas Venner, a well known
and highly respected resident of the
Chiselhurst district passed away at
the home of his son, William Veneer,
lot 30, con. 114, Hibbert township, -on
Saturday, ,Apr. 110th. About a month
ago he suffered a severe attack of the
• flu from which he -failed to rally.. He
was i' years of age. He ;pent over
sixty years in the Ghise'lhurst district
where he was a successful farmer.
Since the death of his wife. sits years
ago the has resided with members of
his family, He was a member of Chis-
elhurst 'United •Church. and a Conser-
vative in politics, He is survived by
three sons, William on the homestead,
Bert, near Exeter, and Wesley at
Chisel'h:urst, two daughters, Mrs,,. Geo,
Dalrymple of Tuckers,tnith and Mrs.
Archie Ryckmaal of Exeter; there are
also IV grandchildren and eight great
'grandc'hildren. One daughter, Mrs.
Montgomery 'Davis,. of-Staffa, prede-
ceased him about ,ive years ago. The
funeral took place frun the home of
his son, Witham Vernier, on Monday
afternoon, interment taking place in'
S'tatfa cemetery: 'Rev. Arthur Sinclair•
'
of Hensale.. conducted the service.
The choir of the Chiselhurst Hinted
