Stewart had •quite an experience and
if help ;had not arrived it would have
proved more serious. Mr Stewart
was going to Mr John 1fcEweit':s for
maple syrup and instead of going
down the highway decided to cross
some vacant lots just south of town,
The :ground was so wet and soft e\{r,
Stewart began stn sink in the tnud• and
could not raise his feet and in trying
4o turn around "fell, which made hint
unable to ,hc+1p himself. HIe- called for
help and after isontr time succeeded
in •drawing th4 attention of -.conte
neighbors s who' immediately went to
his assistance. •1)'r.'Sntillie was called
and Mr, Stewart au t rescued front his
uncomfortable predicament. He was
taken to his hone by Dr. Smillie and
given medical attention. 'frs. Saund-
-ercock is in attendance, 'Ir. Stewart
was about two hours before help ar-
rived. .His many friends hope with
. care and rest he will soon be around
s.. again.

of Carmel !Presbyterian Church held
their Easter thankoffering meeting in
the school roost cd the church with
Mrs. Young presiding. Mrs, 'Robert
Cameron read the Scripture, Prayer
