perty, corner of Market and Main
streets, was presented by Mr. Milton

next the Salvation Army, was sold to
Mr. Walter 'Murray for $40, including
cleaning .up the property immediately.
A communication from the IOn'tario
Municipal Electric Association was
read, requesting adoption of several
resolutions re coni'plete reports, con-
sultation. of municipalities on provin-
cial contracts, arrears, highway light-
ing for safety, su'bunban and rural
rates based on power used, all of
which were ielft over to next •meeting.
A letter was read from the bowling
club, disclaiming ownership ,of the old
bowling club ,property, corner of Vic-
toria and Crombie streets.
A communication from Mr. Pan
McLeod, Agricultural Representative,
Dept. of A'gricul'ture, Clinton, ex-
pressed appreciation for assistance
and a'cconiniodation during the recent
Short Courses.
A communication from the British
American Co asked for permission to
tear down its present service station,
corner East 'Goderich and Victoria
streets, and to erect a new station
further 'back from the street line. The

Manorial Hospital. (Five dollars was

CHARLES DUNGEY
The death of Mr. Charles 1D'ungey,
well known -proprietor of the Com-
mercial Hotel occurred early Monday
morning, March 811, Mr. Du•ngey
was widely known as a hotel man in
this district. For the past fifteen years
he had cond•uctcd the Commercial
1-Iotel in Setsforth and previously at
Mitchell and Bornholm. Mr. Dun'gey
was born near Mitchell where his
earlier years were spent. He condu'c't-
ed a hotel at 'Bornholm and later a
garage and hotel' at 'Mitchell for
about five years before coming to
Seaforth, Surviving are his widow,
formerly Miss Fannie Lenrmon of
Mitchell, and three sons and a dau-
ghter, Roy, Sydney and Jean at
home; a daughter predeceased him.
Surviving also are three sisters and
two brothers, 'Mrs, John Corbett,
Mitchell; Mrs. '\V,Milfant Scoins, Log-
an; Mrs. Mary Allen, in Oa(ifornia;
William Dum,gey, Logan, and john
Dungey, 'M'itehr111.
A lar6'elY attended' funeraa' took
place on Wednesday afternoon from
St. Thomas' Anglican Church. The
service was .conducted by .Rev, R. C.
Capper of Trinity Anglican Church,
Mitchell, in the absence df the rector,
Canon Appleyard. Interment took
place at Mitcheil, The pallbearers
were. Lorne Dale, M. McKellar, A,
W. Dick, Ross Sproat, W. D, Smith
and H. E. Smith.
MRS. JOHN GLENN
T'he death occurred on Sunday.
March 7, of Mrs. john 'Glenn, at the
home of her niece, Mrs, 'Joseph \Ic-
Clin'chey, (John street, 'with whom ,lie
had been making her 'home. Mrs.
Glenn, ,formerly Agnes Jane \Wilson:
w•as born in Hay township, a daugh-
ter of the lane Mr, and Mrs, William
Wilson. After her marriage to Mr,
Glenn, they lived in 'Cl'sborne town-
ship. later retiring to Hensall where
31r. Crlen u's death occurred. 'Mrs.
Glenn is survived 'by a stepson, Thos,
Glenn of 'Toronto. She was the last
surviving member' of the Wilson !fam-
ily. The funeral took place from the
home of Sirs. McClinchey, John St.,
on
Tuesday afternoon. 'Rev. T. .-\,
Carmichael of (North 'Side United
Church conducted the service. Inter-
ment was in Maitland Ban'ic Cemet-
ery, The pallbearers were Wm, Beet:

DIED AT •GODERICH
Miss Jennie Eleanor Hays passe'(
away at (Goderich on Monday night
.portly after six o'clock following an
illness Of nearly three months. Miss
Hays was born in Goderich and liv-
ed all her life there. She was the
daughter xf the late Mr. and Mrs. W
T. Mlays, who were well known both
in town and county. Her father was
a member of the lira Ontario Legis-
latmre after Confederation and later
resigned his seat to become registrar.
Miss Hays was educated in Goderich
schools, vvaS a Presbyterian, a mem-
ber of Knox church, She w•as a for-
mer member of :\'hnieek Chapter
l,O:DjE„ and was actively associated
with various other organisations.
Surviving are two 'brothers, 'William
'pony Hays, Los Angeles, and 'Hec-
tor, Inland Revenue officer, Canad-
ian Customs, Goderich. The late R.
S, hay's, of Seaforth, whose death oc-
curred two years ago, was al brother.
The funeral took place at 'Goderich
on Wednesday afternoon.

The monthly meeting of the 'Cath-
olic Women's League was ihelcl on
March 7th with a splendid attend-

monthly meeting Friday avening in
the school room. The president, Mr.
