Death of Mrs. Thos. Welsh,—
The death occurred at her home on
Friday morning of Mrs. Thomas
Welch, aged 100 years. About nine
years ago Mrs. Welsh was stricken
with arthritic and has been an invalid
since, •bein • confined to her home:.
most of the time. The immediate
cause of death \va- pneumonia and a
heart seizure She was a dattghter'•of
the late lir. and lits. Robt. Bell and
was born on the Bell homestead, lot

south of IHensall, After her marriage
Mrs, Welsh came to Hensall and for

as a builder and contractor ;and also
owns and operates the local sawmill.
During her long illness Mrs. Welsh
ha 'aortic her suffering with great
fortitude. alnays kind inti considerate
of others. and will he sadly missed in
her home. She was a member of the
Hensall United Church and before
her illness she was prominent in nut-
sical circles, She is survived by her
husband, two daughters, . \lis. Flor-
ence, at home, and \1,s, Laird \liekle.
one son, Scott Welsh, one sister in
Calgary and one -brasher, William
.Bell, on the homestead. The funeral
took place from her late home on
Monday afternoon at ,3 oclock inter-
ment taking place in the Mensal] Un-
ion cemetery. Rev. Arthur Sinclair,
Rev. W. A. Young and Rev, E. F.
MeL. Smith, took part in the service.

The pallbearers were Andrew Bell,
