Those who had the pleasure of at-
tending 'the banquet last Friday ev-
ening of the (Agricultural ,Course
which had been is progress the past
four weeks was very intsructive and
.we hope the 'boys and girls who took
part in it will receive the .benefit in
their future careers. It will be hard
for the 'girls to beat the Ladies, Aid
of 'the (First Presbyterian Church to
compete on )tome economics to satis-
fy the inner mean by serving a 'boun-
teous 'repast.
We are pleased to learn that Mrs.
Tat McLaughlin is putting up a good
fight to regain her health.

Monday evening, March d)st. at law.
Louise Marshall took the chair and
opened the meeting' by singing hymn

and this was followed with prayer
by Kay Hatstand. The topic on `Ter-
sonality," was very .well taken by
Evelyn Grainger, after which a leng-
thy discussion on this .subject, was
led by the President, Mary 1Mc'Cu ly's
side is leading in the attendance con-
test. The !meeting closed by singing
hymn 21116 land a'il repeating the ,Miz-
pah Ibenediotton, rafter which a spell-
ing match was held.

tal, on March 31rd, 11,907, infant daugh-
ter of Mr, and Mrs, 'J'ohn Burns,

Late Wm. A. Morrison.—
A lifelong resident of McKillop
died on Feb. LLI7th, following a long
illness with heart trouble, extending
over the ,past •five years, in the person
of William A. Morrison. He was con-
fined to bed for two weeks previous
to his death, Mr. .Morrison al'wa'ys
lived on the homestead farm where
he died. He was born seventy years
ago, the son of the late Francis Mor-
rison of Mdhitlop. He was married' in
11906 to Miss 'Sebulah Forbes, wlro
passed away 213 years ago. Surviving
are one daughter, f\viola) Mrs. Bert-
ram '$. Hemingway. of Brussels; and
a brother, IAbbert Morrison, of Cleve-
land, Ohio, and a sister. Mrs. Janes
Dunning, of D'and, \Manitdha. Mr
Morrison was a Conservative in poli-
tics. \Ir, Morrison was highly es-
teeme•s by a wide circle of friends.
The funeral -was held' on \bsty
from his tate home, lot 2L, con. 110,
Nicdiilinp. Rev. NB-. Morrow conduct -
1'd die service. Interment took place
in Maitland Bank cemetery. The pall-

The Little (Helper's Mission Band
held their weekly meeting on Tues-
day. IBetty Moore, the ''President took
charge of the Worship period. 'We
learned a new hymn and sang the
Lord's prayer. Jean Strong, )Dorothy
Huiser and Jean /Powell told the wor-
ship story. Memory verses were re;
cited. 'Shirley IWurm read the min-
utes. The story of "Friends around
the World," was taken by the leader.
Gaines concluded the meeting.
There was a goad attendance at the
•Egmondville YIP.S.. held on Tuesday
evening. Mr. -Harold (Finnigan presid-
ed and opened the meeting . with
hymn, ljesus keep me near the Cross,
followed by prayer. to number of im-
portant items were discussed during
the business period. The president
carried on the worship period in the
absence of the convener. After sing-
ine a hymn, )bliss tIsabel Forrest read
the Scripture lesson. Rev. lir. Shep-
herd gave a (fine talk on the subject,
"The Arts and the iEpistles," telling
of the marvellous devotion for Christ
shown by the people of that time.
After a short ,discussion the meetin
closed with a hymn and the \t zeal,
benediction.
The- Women's Association of
mondville United Church Meld their
first meeting at the manse. There
was a .good attendance, Mrs, Harold
Jackson presided. The Scripture les-
son was taken ty Alis., Mabel Cam-
eron and Mr. Shepherd led in prayer.
Ates. tHarvey lloore and Mrs. Turn-
er each favored us with a solo which
was enjoyed by all. The rest of the
afternoon was -spent in patching
emilts, This was t Al we by a ten -
