Special Easter services were held in
the three local churches on Sunday
last with special discourses by the
various ministers and .excellent Easter
music. At the United 'Church, in addi-
tion to the anthems, a ladies' trio was
sung by Mrs 11.:Hedden, Mrs, -li..G.
Drysdale and Mrs. G. 'Hess, at the
morning service; communion was al-
so administered, At the evening ser-
vice special parts in the anthems were
taken by Miss F. Welsh and Mrs, G.
Hess; a duet by Miss Florence Welsh
and Dr. I. S. Smillie, and a solo by
Mr. Sam Rennie.
:Mr. Lyle Cassidy has treated him-
self to a new car.
Mrs. Alice Joynt and son Will of
Toronto are -spending the holidays at
their home,
Mr. Geo, Walker who recently rent-
ed the Nei1ands -house on Albert st.,
moved his ,family in on :Wednesday
from Tuckersmith township.
Mr. Eldred Smith of London Uni-
versity is spending the holidays here.
Mrs. Geo. Fairbairn of the London
!Road South, suffered a severe stroke
on Wednesday last and was rushed to
a London hospital for treatment. She
has been in 'poor health for some
time and her condition is serious.

The introduction of the New Hynt-
nary was very fittingly combined with
the Easter morning service .at St. An-
drew's United Church, Bayfield, The
minister, IRev.'R, M. Gale, drew -the
attention of the can'gregation to the
very handsome copy of'The 'Hymnary
which was .a gift from Mr. A. T.
Cooper, of Clinton, for .which due ap-
preciation was made by the congrega-
tion. The choir rendered special ,music
"The Awakening Chorus," "King of
Kings," and a solo' by Mr. Rhen,
"Come Ye Blessed."
In the evening the minister preach-

burg when the sad news was flashed
over the wire that Mrs. W. J. Mac-
Kay of Schumacher had died in the
Toronto Hospital where she had been
convalescing for a short time, when
suddenly 'pneum'auia set in, and her
passing came without warning: She
was born here 43 years ago and well
and favorably known, .1'rIer bereft hus-
band heft here 25 years ago 'and has
since been engaged in mining, They
were married 21 years ago and have
resided in Schumacher, lir, MacKay
is one of Huron's (Old Bays who has
made" good. The funeral took place
Monday to the Maitland Bank Ceme-

f friends who extend their sincere

McKillop stone crusher will be re-
ceived by the undersigned for the
season of 1934 until ;Saturday, April
241st, at 3 p.m., at Carnegie !Hall, 'Sea -
forth. Contractor to supply power,
drive belt, oil, to oil crusher and to
supply crusher with materials from
pit. Township will supply scrapers.
Crusher speed to be from 280 to 12190
revolutions per minute. Coarse mater-
ial going over screen to be reground.
Tenders to .be by t'lte cubic yard ,and.
to include amount expected for mov-
ing, setting and all repair 'work. Con-
tractor to build roadway under chute.
Crus'her will 'be 'set in :five different
pits. To average not less than 1,000
