Mystery Man Worked in Huron,-

young English woman's claim that
George Harrison, otherwise known as
"George, the Mountain Boy, a trav-
elling musician at North Bay, is her
brother and of her offer to send him
money to bring him home to England,
The young ratan has been uncertain as
to his parentage and may go over to
investigate this claim.George is well
known in Goderieh twp, on the 16th,
having worked for four years for M.
J. Bottler. He was well lilted.

Huron County Will Remain
If the new beer and wine hill- drafted
it; the Legislature Last week becomes
law Huron -county will still remain
dry. Huron county is the only West-
ern Ontario county to Se under the
Canada Temperance Act, This Feder-
al legislation bans completely the sale
of alcoholic beverages in counties and
separate municipalities have no say.
In municipalities under local option
before the enactment of the Canada
Temperance Act, a three -fifth vote
will be needed to permit beer and
wine. Many Western Ontario munic-
ipalities ities now under the provisions of
the Local Option Act will have if
they choose. the opportunity to vote'
on permitting of sale of beer and
wine by the glass, if and when the
'beer and wine bill becomes law-. At-
torney General Price announced- that
:hese municipalities may vote on the
question of allowing of the safe by
tite glass without at the same time
authorizing o: the setting up of li-
quor stores but until such vote is ta-
ken these municipalities will remain

Restricting Autoists,
.Rural municipalities are doing their
utmost to limit the ravages of the -au-
tomobile, Petitions are arriving at the
parliament buildings on printed forms
which have been circulated generally
in the country districts. These peti-
tions ask for:
A speed limit of ten miles an hour
in the day and seven utiles an hour
at night. That motors have only two
lights in front and one behind, not,
reflecting further than 50 feet. That
drivers be licensed after a thorough
examination as to eyesight and ability
to operate the motor. That no motors
be allowed on highways outside of
towns and cities on Sunday, Tuesday
and Saturdays. That the third of-
fence be punished by imprisonment
without the option of a fine and can-
-ellation of the license. A penalty of
imprisonment in cases of damages to
individuals or property. Greater fees
in proportion to the capacity of the
vehicle. Provincial officers to enforce
the taw. That half the fine should go
to :he informant.

holders have never received any divi-
dends, and they have decided to sell,
.Seaforth has always been known as a
good town for sports, and this has
done probably more to advertise the
town and make its fame known
abroad. For this we have to thank the
society to a large extent, for without
the grounds, we could never have had
the sports, The members of the soc-
iety after 26 years think they should
be relieved, and think selling the
grounds will be the best way to ac-
complish the object. It would be a
pity to see the grounds broken up,
as there is really no other suitable
place for the ball grounds in the town,
and we think the town its the interest
of the rising generation should buy
the grounds and preserve them for the
use for which they have been design-
ed. There is not a' town in. Ontario of
the size that can boast of such a rec-
reation ground.

The home of Rev. Dr, McLaughlin
of Toronto was the scene of a quiet
wedding on -March 1+4th at 2,30 p.m.
when Miss Mande Lyon of Calgary,
and Mr, Wilbert Lobb, of Goderich
Tp., were united in marriage by Dr,
MdLauchlin, lfr. and Mrs. Green-
wood of Toronto were the attendants,
After the ceremony Mrs. ,' i Lattch-
lin served a dainty lunch, Mrs, Green-
wood entertained in honor of the bride
and groom at the tea hour. The bride
was becomingly attired in a navy
crepe frock with midnight blue coat
with hat to match. Alter a short hon-
eymoon in Toronto, Niagara iFalis,
a nd Ransomville, in the States, they
returned to the groom's home in God-
erich Tp. On the evening of Wednes-
day, March 31st. a reception was held
at the home of the bride's mother,
Mrs. H. Lyon, of Londesboro, when
a most enjoyable time was spent. The
house was prettily decorated with
mauve and white streamers and spring
flowers. At 6:30 all sat down to a
sumptuous wedding- dinner, all the
brothers and sisters of the bride be-
ing present for the occasion, Those,
from a distance included Mrs. Eltlrid'
Holmes and Erwin of Dresden•, Mrs.
Arthur Kerslake, Ilene and Bobby, of
Exeter, lir, and Mrs, ,Earl Gaunt of
Lucknow. The many friends of the
bride and groom join in wishing then
