special means of increasing funds.
To those noble women who carried
on so faithfully our hearts go out in
loving gratitude. The torch has been
handed to us. Let us hold it high and
pray that. God will richly bless our
efforts in the future as he has done
in the past. The above splendid his-
tory was prepared and given at the
50th anniversary held in St, Paul's
Anglican Church, Thursday after-
noon, May 20th, by the secretary,
Miss Mary Fee.
Fiftieth Anniversary.—
A special meeting of the Woman's
Au -ciliary of St. Paul's Anglican
Church was held in the church on
Thursday, May 20th. to commemor-
ate the fiftieth anniversary of the
organization which was postponed
from Jan. 9th. Invitations were ex-
tended to all branches in Huron
deanery, but due to motoring restric-
tions the attendance was not as
large as it otherwise would have
been. However fifty . persons were
present. Mr;. Hunt and Mrs. Middle-
ton received the guests. The meeting
was opened by the rector', Mr. Hunt,
with a hymn and special prayers af-
ter which the president, Mrs. Mid-
dleton, took charge and extended a
hearty welcome. Miss Fee gave the
history of the W.A. for the past 50
years. Ven. Archdeacon W. J. Doh-
erty was present from London and
gave reminiscences of the early days
of the W.A. when the meetings were
held in the old mission hall. The
diocesan president, Mrs. Bingle, of
London, brought greetings from Hu-

Miss Pearl Wood) of Exeter was the

Dougall. Mrs. Norman Stanlake and

Mr. Geo. Hawkins Passes.—
One of Hensall's most respected
citizens passed away at his home on
Friday in the person of Mr. George
Hawkins in his 81st year, following
a lengthy illness. The deceased
moved to Hensall some fourteen
years ago from his farm on High-
way No. 4 south. and since then was 100 Acres Wanted'

viving is one brother, Mr. Thomas
