Kyle and Mr. Ezra Kipfer received the sad news of the death of their mother, Mrs, Leah Kipfer, who passed away in St. Jos- eph's Hospital, London, in her 88th on Christmas eve, The. deceased been ill for the past five months and was taken to the hospital for the past six weeks. Her husband, Menno Kipfer, died twenty years ago. Sur- iijg are five daughters, Mrs. Jacob k of Kitchener, Mrs. Thos. Kyle, Hensall, Mrs. Desjardine, Grand Bend, with whom the deceased resided. Miss Edith Kipfer and Mrs.. cob Gingerich, Zurich, seven sons, of Hensall; John, Pidgeon, ch.; Noah, of olf, Iowa; David, Albia, Iowa; Simon,: Fenton, Iowa, Solomon, Gilmore City, Iowa; two :Asters, Mrs. Chris Schrag, Zurich; ss Nancy, Stanley; two brothers, Chris, of Hay, and Jacob of Oregon, also fifty-seven grandchildren and great grandchildren. Fun - al service was held from the Men- nonite Church, Zurich, at 2.15 on Sunday afternoon. Interment in the Mennonite cemetery, Goshen line. Mr. and Mrs. Harold Simpson and daughter Gwendolyn of. Hud- sonand other relatives. James Sangster Passes Suddenly.— A shadow of gloom was cast over community on Christmas eve up- onhearing of the sudden death of Mr. James Sangster in his 49th year. A public funeral ser- vice was held from the late residence Monday at 2 p.in. conducted by Rev. Wm. Weir, assisted by Rev. R. A. Brook. A duet entitled, "Lead Kindly Light," was sung.
