:Limiter This Year
"Check Upand Order Now,"
Urges Ontario Department
of Agriculture
The administrator of farm and
road machinery has announced that
on the basis of 1940 sales manufac-
turers of farm equipment are limit-
ed in production ranging from a
decrease of 50% on certain types
of less essential implements to an
increase of 200% in the case of
milking machines and cream separ-
ators. The production of attach-
ments and repair parts is limited to
104% of 1940 sales. This means
that 1942 production will be slight-
ly less than the 'record sales of 1941.
Although supplies are limited, im-
plement manufacturers and dealers
are hopeful that all orders for spare
parts can be filled, providing they
know in time what the demands are
likely to be, The Ontario Depart-
ment of Agriculture urges that
every farmer should without delay
look over his equipment, tractor to
binder and spray outfit, even to the
hay fork and rope and wire for pat-
ching fences and inform his dealer
of his requirements. This is a matter
of supreme importance. Maximum
farm production is required. Prompt
delivery of repair parts cannot be
guaranteed after Spring work starts.
Costly breakdowns and long delays
and loss of time of men and equip-
ment can largely be avoided by a
careful overhaul of farm equipment
during the Winter months,
The Department of Agriculture is
also' urging that farmers swing in
behind the voluntary agricultural
war committees being formed in
every county. These' committees are
making a survey, the results of
which will enable each neighborhood
through planning and organisation,
to secure the maximum use of avail-
able labor and equipment b the
community,
Great Britain needs more food
from Canada. Supplies for domestic
consumption in Canada are short.
The maximum in production can
only be reached by making the best
possible use of what we have in
every county, township, community
and upon every farm,

the photograph at tite top gives a small cross-section of the new young soldiers to whom Mr. Beattie gives an enthusiastic clean bill of health in
this powerful article. It was taken on arrival at a port in Great Britain and the upturned faces show how these young members of the
Canadian Army listened to words of welcome from senior officers. At the left are two "Repaint Jobs". to quote the irreverent young lieu-
tenant In the story who christened Great War Veterans in this highly modern manner. They .are Major Ref/dirk and Lieut. Carm; hael.

Youthify Your Neck
It is often said that " a woman
looks as old (or as young) as finer
neck. How true it is! The more you
beautify your neck, the more glaring-
ly will your neck betray you if it is
flabby or wrinkled. So au excellent
resolution is to devote more time to
youthifying your neck. And it is sur-
prising flow little time it takes if you
will do it every day.
Here is a good rule to keep in mind
—whenever you cream or massage the
face, always extend the treatment to
your nick.
At night, just before you retire,
carry out this little treatment: cleanse
pores and skin of neck and face with
three purpose cream and remove With
a damp warm cloth. Then smooth on
some more cream generously and mas-
sage upwards along the throat col-
umn with both hands, Be thorough.
Then bind a very soft bandage around
your throat (not too tightly, of
course!) and leave 3t on overnight.
In the morning the neglected pores
will have considerably revived and
your skin will be smoother and softer.
Now take a little cotton -wool wrung
out with astringent lotion and remove
all cream.
Don't'forget,to wash youth.neck a.ud
face twice a day at least, using gentle
Inilmolive soap because it actually
helps to beautify the skin. Rinse with
cold water.
Write me about your, personal beau-
ty problems and enclose four one -cent
stamps for my helpful booklet on
Beauty Care. It answers so many of,
the beauty questions that perplex you
and will give you some short cuts to
beauty. Address: Mies Barbara Lylln,
