Ceiebration
The Celebration on Monday was
greeted with the Sneer, King's weather
and attracted a largo number to town.
By (coon the etreete were full of people
and when the parade alerted from the
Public School grouuds the side walks
on Mein St. were crowded, Much
amusement was created as the different
Boats came into view, '1'he Red Cross
and otltere wore greeted with applause,
Many of the bate were well prepared
and made a r:plenclid display, It was
a hard matter for the judges to decide
but the first prize went to the .oar re-
preeeeting Japan. After roaohieg the
park which during the afternoon moot
have had 4000 people in it, the differ-
ent sports were run off.
The Brass baud and the Henderson
Pipers gave plenty of music. The
dancing of the pipers was a special
feature. Then around the park were
scatte:ed the booths, many and great,
all busy feeding er entertaftafug those
present, The ear was wort by Mr. A.
McKay engineer of, the 'water works.
The tickets for the watch were not all
in and was not drawn for. The soul•
mittee worked hard, espeoially Mr. A.
D. Sutherland, to make it a success
and they are to be congratulated on
their efk'orte.

D, Carswell of McKillop assisted by
the Rev. F. D, Larkin D, D. of Sea -
forth. Tho bride who was given away
by her father looked charming in a
gown of white satin trimmed with
point -da eapres lace, The bride's colla
in, Miss E11e Archibald of McKillop
played the wedding march Tho happy

the baby contest. Suppose the judges
were too modest.
Mr. and Mrs Thos. McKay and fam-
ily and Mr and Mrs Manley motored
to Guelph on Saturday to vieit friends
there,
Mr and Mrs Wm O'Grady and family
of Chicago were vieitore in our burg on
Sunday,
Miss Maggie Doherty from Chicago
is spending her holidays in our midst,
Mr John Walsh from Bornholm was
a visitor hero last Sunday,
Miss Gertrude Murray of Dublin was
a vieitor in our burg last week.
Quite a number from here took in
the Keep Watch celebration in Sea.
