The Annual meeting of the Hortionl-
tural Society was held on Friday night.
The attendauee was in no way an indie
ation of the love for flowers on the part
of the people of Seaforth, as only a few
people were present, Those who were
present however made up in enthusiasm
for the leolc of members. The finan-
cial statement showed a membership of
220 or double of 1916, The receipts
were $643,56 and expenses $622 c,7 to
the year donations were made for flow.,

mation issued October 13;.h. It is now the bounden duty
of every man in Class One to report for service or claim
exemption. This includes all bachelors and widowers without
children (not otherwise excepted) who were 20 years old on
the 13th October, 1917, and whose 34th birthday did not
occur before January lst, 1917.
Go to your Post Office and ask for the form for reporting for service or
for claiming exerraption. The form contains dear instructions for filling
in. Do this not later than NOVEMBER lOth.
