Oatmeal Mill Sold
Seaforth needs new iuduetriee, but it
also requires to have all the old ones
busy. For some time the fine large
building at the station has been idle,
This week however. The Walter Thom-
son & Sons Co. have disposed of it to a
strong Company, the Chas, S. Morrow
Co, of New York, who have an office
in Toronto They are already busy pre-
paring it to start about the first of
July, and will give steady employment
to about fifteen men.
Huron County Council
The county council met in Goderich
last week.
Petitions were presented from several
Boards of Trades, asking for road im-
proveinont. Ashfield wanted the Ooun
ty to take over the Dungannon bridge
The Farmer's Olube at Walton and Bel-
grrde wanted a District Representative
appointed.
A resolution was passed thanking
the patriotic and Red Cross Societies
for their noble work for the soldiers.
A deputation censisting of Sheriff
Reynolds and Messrs •W, H, Kerr of
Brussels, Oosens, Wingham, Jackson,
Clinton; Stewart, Beattie, Greig, Ament
and Sutherland of Seaforth urged the
establishment of a shelter for the use
of the Children's Aid Sooioty and were
given a grant 52600 towerds it.
A grant was also given the Huron
War Auxiliary. Mr. Hogarth from
the Department urged need of better
roe(ls. Reeve Stewart has given this
much attention and now likely to 800

of McKillop who has been two years in the trenches, and
has won the Military Medal, a Medal for Gallantry and a
Medal for Special Conduct.
