A resolution was passed thanking the patriotic and Red Cross Societies for their noble work for the soldiers. A deputation censisting of Sheriff Reynolds and Messrs •W, H, Kerr of Brussels, Oosens, Wingham, Jackson, Clinton; Stewart, Beattie, Greig, Ament and Sutherland of Seaforth urged the establishment of a shelter for the use of the Children's Aid Sooioty and were given a grant 52600 towerds it.
