FORTY YEARS AGO From The !Seaforth News December 1916 A big welcome was given Pte, Jack Van Ep'mond on his return to Seaforth from overseas. At the town hall addresses of -wel. wine were given by Mayor Stewart, Rev. T. H. Brown. Rev. Geo. McKinley, J. II. Reid and Geo. Holman, Tho death occurred of Sam- uel Dickson who had been post- master of Seaforth from 1865 until 1013. He could relate in- teresting stories of the early days when the streets were lined with farmers bringing wheat to market here, and how those days gave place to the shipping of livestock instead of grain.
