Finlayson of Seaforth. Many
were shrieked in this community
to hear of the recent fire on Mr.
Finlayson's farm on Saturday
when he lost his fine 'barn and
all hi season's crop, Heartfelt
sympathy is extended to hien
and his wife from his many
friends in this community. He
taught many of the young men
and women of today, in the
.Blake School some years ago.
Jlrs. G. Bon is in -the 'Clinton
Hospital in the interest of her
health. Her many friends hope
she soon • Will- be feeling better.

weeks visiting her daughter
and family at Hamilton.

The wedding was solemnized
in St. David's Church, Toronto,
last Wednesday of Ethel Beatty
of Northern Ireland, missionary
teacher with the Irish Presby-
terian Church, India, and the
Rev. Donald ,MacDonald, minist-
er of Carmel Presbyterian
Church, Mensal'. The Rev, Jas.
Burt, personal friend of Mr.
MacDonald officiated.
Miss ,Maybelle Whiteman
pleasantly entertained a number
of the Past Noble Grands of
Amber Rebekah Lodge at her
home on Monday evening. The
evening was spent in playing
Progressive euchre, The prize
winners were Mrs. Alex Mac -
Beath, Mrs. Leona Parke and
Mrs. Sam Dougall, was the win-
ner for the lone hands, The
lucky cup prize was won Iby
Mrs. Anna Walker. A social
time was enjoyed by all.

always been residents of Brus-
sels weddings were performed
at that place.
