The bride chose a beige suit with matching accessories and corsage of - yellow mums. She was attended by her sister, Mrs. A. MacGregor, wearing a navy suit with white accessories and corsage of red carnations. Field Day Winners The 'Annual Huron County Junior Farmers Livestock Judg- ing Competition was held at the Seaforth Community Centre and Fair Grounds on .Saturday, May 19, with 205 competitors taking part. This was the largest Judg- ing (Competition that has ever been held in Huron County, with 60 more contestants than in the 1955 competition. 0. W. .MoTi+t- g'omery, Agricultural Represent- ative and Arthur .Bolton, Assist- ant Agricultural 'Representative were in :charge of the 'Competi- tion assisted by the Huron Coun- ty 4-1I Agricultural 'Club Lead- ers. Assistant Agricultural Re- presentatives in the persons of Mr. Al Wall, Brute 'Comity; Mr, George Barr, Lamlbton County; Mr. Charles al es Tam er M iddle e x County and Mr.Bruce M Cor- quodale, Perth 'County acted as Official Judges for the Compe- tition. They were assisted by 8 other Judges, who were mem- bers of the Huron County 4.11 Club Leaders' Association. The contestants were required to judge 3 classes of Dairy Cattle; 3 'cl'asses of (Beef Cattle; 3 class- es of Swine and 1 class of Sheep and to give reasons on 1 class of eaoh kind of livestock represented. Livestock ,9.201.' the competition were provided by Huron County Breeders and were 'all tracked into the Fair Grounds - Special Awards The Huron Comity 'Competi- tor with the highest aggregate score in Grain and Livestock Judging Competitions in 1955 and 1956—all expense Junior Fanner Bus Trip to New York and Washington. Winner of this award was Laverne Godkin of 11, 11. 2, Walton, a member of the .Seaforth Junior Farmers'Club, with a total score of. 2,690 points out of a possible score of 3,000 points, The runner-up for this Award was Larry Wheatley, R. R. 1, Dublin, also a member of the Seaforth Junior Farmers' Club and he wins the Eastern Ontario Junioe Fanner Bus Trip, with all expenses paid. Paul Murray, R. R. 2, Walton, with a score of 607 points out of a possible 700 points in the cam - BLAKE Mrs. Amos Gingerieh and Miss Betty Gingerich, accompanied by Mrs. Alan Steckle and Mrs. Earl Desch attended a Workers' Annual meeting at Tavistock on Tuesday last. Mrs. Annie •Sauve of Zurich called on Mr, and Mrs. Rudy Desch on Wednesday afternoon. Mr. and Mrs. Harold Soper and family moved to Zurich where they are taking up resi- dence after spending the winter in Blake. Mr. and Mrs, Oesch were visit- ed by relatives from Waterloo over the holiday, also by mem- bers of their family of Kippen and Goshen Line. Messrs. H. Finlay, son John and Thomas Dinsmore were in Glanworth on business, on Sat- urday. Some of the ladies are in Stratford this week attending a ladies' convention. Several attended a shower for Miss Donna 'Bullock, bride -elect of June 2, in the church base- ment in Zurich, on Friday even- ing. ,Hiss Margaret Shade and Helen Horner presented the gifts. Donna made a fitting re- ply and thanked everyone present for their lovely gifts. A dainty lunch followed.,Everyone left wishing Donna happy wedded life.
