If you sear]
cash through the mails,
you run a real risk of losing it. For your own peace
of mind, it's far wiser to send money orders. The
small amount a money order costs, assures you
that your money will be safe and sound. No one
can receive the cash except the person to whom you
send the money order. Next time you want to send
money, whether $5.00 or $500.00, call in on us for
a money order or bank draft. This takes only a
few minutes to arrange. It's one of the many helpful
banking services we provide.

HIGH SCHOOL NEWS
(63y Jack Melady)
Last week, 'bile election 'of
next year's ,Students' iCouneil
Executive was held. (Of the four
Presidential candidates, Ron
iSeoins was victorious, His fe-
male counterpart, ,Sally Nott,
will be Vice ''resident next year.
(Secretary uill be Ruth Sills, and
treasurer, Bea.ttice Sielno.n. We
'would like to take this oppor-
tunity to • eon(gratulate ;these stu-
dents on their achievement, and
we wish them lots of success
during the coming year.
On May 1.1, seven 'boys from
Grade 13 :went to 'Toronto and
were given a conducted tour
through the Canada Packers of-
fice and (plants. This proved to
be a very interesting and enjoy-
able ewperienee dor those coI-
cerned. Train fare and all ex-
penses while in Toronto were
paid by Canada Packers, with
the /hope 'that some of these boys
would (become employees of the
eo(nupany next year. The only
degradation of this trip was that
on the way ;home, the train left
Toronto at 6 p.m. and arrived in
Boaforth at 2 can, The Ernest re-
deeming feature of this eight-
hour (train ride ((according to
Icon 'Smith) was that everyone
was able to play cards. The rain
and tornadoes Friday night were
responsible for anany 'delays in
the Detroit -Stratford .train con-
nections, thus forcing the late
train from Toronto to wait until
connections could 'be made in
Stratford,
Last week, Cadet uniforms
were assigned to all boys. As
each uniform was taken out, we
had to sign for the number of
articles obtained. 'This "signing
Out" is ordered by the ;Canadian
Army in all schools (because of
the absence of certain pieces of
equipment atter .the various in-
spections isa former years. Due
to a higher enrollment this year,
we were forced to barrow a
dozen uniforms from Goderich
High 'S'chool.
'Cadet inspection will :be held
on Tuesday .afternoon at the
high school. A lot od 'practice has
preceded this inspection, and, as
it is open to 'the public, we urge
anyone interested to drop
around.
A short time ago,'Wayne Mc-
Michael, a Grade 13 student,
wrote and successfully achieved
the passing grade in an examine -
tion for future employees of The
Ford Motor Company. After
graduation in June, Wayne will
commence working for Ford at
their Windsor plant.
•Cadet:dance will' be held next
Tuesday night with Bill •Stuart's
orchestra
