This will be held in the Gym Rooni, Seaforth Public School - main entrance. Immunization for Diphtheria, Whooping Cough, Tetanus, and Smallpox will be avail- able. Rebekah Lodge Celebrates Seventh Anniversary A large number of members and visitors attended the seventh 'anniversary of Amber Rebekah Lodge 349 in the Lodge rooms on Wednesday evening. The N. G., Mrs. Archie MacGregor pre- sided. Mrs, B. !Sutter, District Deputy 'President, of Clinton, Mrs. !McPherson, 'Clinton, and the members of .Goderich Rebekah Lodge were guests. During the evening the pianist, Mrs. !H. C. Bell was presented with a gift in recognition of her faithful services as pianist. Miss Malbelle Whiteman, Jr., P.N.G. presented the gift. Mrs. Bell made a fitting reply of thanks. Mrs. Margaret Bowra N.G., •of 'Goderich Lodge presented 'Amber Lodge +with a gift. This year sees a staff of seven full-time nurses and one part- time nurse, !headed by the nurs- ing supervisor, Miss !Norah Cun- ningham; a public !health veter- inarian, Dr. T. R. !Melady, Dub- lin; two sanitary inspectors, W. L. Empey, (.chief) Goderich, and R. M. Hale, Blyth; and an of- fice staff of 'three 'clerks, Dr, R. M. Ardis, unit 'director, said the unit strives to work closely with other public and non -official agencies in matters of joint interest, The mass chest x-ray survey in Huron !County in May, being sponsored by the On- tario Department of Health and the Huron County Tuberculosis Association, is an example. Dr. Aldis added ,that personnel of 'all eating establishments and dairies in Huron 'County will be required under regulations of the Public Health Act to be x-rayed. Last year bhere 'were 7,048 poliomyelitis inoouiations given to the 'first three 'public school grades; 2,264 tuberculin tests were given in secondary scihools; 2,545 inoculations were adminis- tered. There were 1,503 small- pox vaccinations given to school and pre-school Children. During 1955 close to 6,000 homes were visited IM 'Huron County by public health nurses; 58 'chest clinics were held with a total attendance of 1,003; 97 regular immunization clinics were held; and 85 prenatal !class- es with a total attendance of 590.
