with 27 anenobers present. Miss
E. Hovey, Mrs. Ross Soodt and
Mrs. Ham had 'charge of the Dec.
exercise. Christmas hyann was
sung. "Joy to the World” with
Mrs. Geo. Henderson ab the
piano. The soripture reading was
taken from Matt. 2: 1-12. This
was followed with prayer by
Mrs. Scott. Mrs Ham took the
topic, "The Hope of the World".
Hymn 58 was sung, Miss Bowey
gave a Christmas reading which
was anneal enjoyed by all. The
Pres., Mrs. Baird, then took the
'chair, The W. A. creed was re-
peated in unison. The minutes
of the Nov. meeting were read
,by the .Sec., Mrs. J. W. McBeath.
Mrs. Berry gave the treas. re-
port and received' the offering.
It was moved' by Miss McDonald
:and seconded .by Mrs. Huhner,
that all (bills be paid. Thankyon
cards were read 'by Miss M.
Swan from Mrs. J. Grainger,
Mrs. B. Walters, Mrs. Wan. Pep-

THRIFTY KIPPENETTES
The 4th aneeting was held on
Dec. 27 at the home of Mrs.
Bell. The meeting opened with
"The more we get Together”
•and 4JIi pledge. The roll .call was
answered by 15 members. The
minutes were read ,and approv-
ed. Our leaders demonstrated
shrinking of material and how
to determine size of blouse pat-
tern to buy. We were shown how
to adjust patterns. A pattern
was pinned on, nut out and stay -
lined 'by, some of due girls. The
home assignments were, buy ma-
terial and pattern, studypattern,
prepare material, ;work on chart
,and record 'book. The roll call
will be to report .an progress of
chart. The newt meeting will be
held on Jan. 3, at 7.30 at Mrs.
Bell's home.
