Hibbert Federation
The annual meeting of the
Hibbert Federation of Agricul-
ture was held on Friday evening
Dec. 9, with a good attendance.
J, M. Scott, 2nd vice pres., acted
as chairman. The principal
speaker was Jim Jacklin, of
Elmwood, Field RepWresentative
of the Ontario Federation of Ag-
riculture. Mr. Jacklin spoke on
the aims, achievements and poli-
cies of the Ontario Federation
of Agriculture and its kindred
groups. Mr. Jacklin did an ex-
cellent job of presenting infor-
mation on the following organ-
izations and topics: The achieve-
ments of the Ontario Federation
of Agriculture, The Milk Indus-
try Act, The Ontario Whole Milk
Producers League and formula

er 'which minutes of last meet-
ing were read and adopted. The
scripture lesson was read by Mrs.
Baiboock, followed with prayer
by Mrs. W. L. Whyte. Reading
by Mrs. Lorne Lawson and
Christian Stewardship taken by
Mrs. Brown. A 'Christmas read-
ing by Mrs. Frank Riley. Mrs.
Earl Lawson read a letter of
thanks from Formosa, .and the
'Christmas story was told by
Mrs. Ross McGregor. The collec-
tion was taken and aneeting
closed by singing hymn 65. This
was followed by the W. A. meet-
ing. Mrs. Bill Dale presided in
bhe absence of our president.
Opened by hymn 63 and minutes
were read. Moved by Mrs. Frank
Riley and Mrs. Ross MacGregor,
that the property committee of
the church see about a new
kitchen floor and cost. The la-
dies were reminded that their
l5 donation would please be
handed in before the end of the
'year.
