The Directors of the Huron County Hog Pro-
ducers are holding an information meeting in the
Exeter District High School on Wednesday, Sept.
28, 1955, at 8 F.M. in the interest of the hog pro-
ducers of the district.
Mr. Chas. McInnis, Pres. of the Ontario Hog Pro-
ducers Co-op., and Mr. Jake Kohler, General Man-

(Sept. 14. Mrs. Milroy introduced
Mrs. Erratt who spoke from her
many years of devoted work
among the Muncey Indians and
also in Barbara Qiouse, Toronto.

Boyes read "Look Around".
Hymn "Look Speak to me" was
sung. Mrs, C. :Eyre road the
scripture lesson. Mrs. E. Durst
spoke on the .theme "The Truth"
and led in prayer. Mesdames
Folibes, Stephenson, IVIeGonie•le
and Durst sang "0 Tell Me His
Name". The minutes and roll
call were read by Mrs. W. Tre-
i seer and further plans made for
the !bazaar on Oct. 22 in the
W. L. Whyte store, "Sing to the
Lord of Harvest" was read by
the WMS. President, Mrs. E.
Stephenson. Mrs, 'David Ste-
phenson led in prayer. The de-
votional theme was "Our High
Calling" led by Mrs. G. McGon-
igle and Mrs. Wm. 'Cameron
read bhe scripture lesson. Mrs.
D. Wallace read "Why Follow
Jesus" and Mrs. N. McLean re-
sponded by "What it means to
Follow Jesus". Mrs. G. McGon-
igle leer in prayer. Mrs. E.
Boyes read "Tommy's Prayer",
Mrs. Jas. Aikenhead read
"Faith's Reward" and. Mrs. D.
Wallace reported on "Youth and
Alcoholism". The minutes were
read by Miss F. Houston. It was
announced that the Centre Sec-
tional meeting of the W. M. S.
would be held in Walton, Sept,
28 at 9.30 a.m. and an invita-
tion to attend Duff's Fall
Thankoffering meeting on Oct.
6 was geeepted. Subscriptions
to the Missionary Monthly are
due at the Oct. meeting which
will be the Autumn Thankoffer-
ing meeting. After singing "0
Lord and Master of us all".
Mrs. Stephenson pronounced
the Benediction and a social
half hour was spent. Lunch was
served by Mrs. M. Nott's and
Mr's. A. Forbe's _committee.

Directors of the Huron Coun-
ty Federation of Agriculture un-
animously passed a resolution
endorsing the Ontario Hog Pro-
ducers' new marketing program
until it has received a fair trial.
Alfred Warner, Bayfield, sec-
retary of the County Hog Pro-
ducers', reported on the semi-
annual meeting of the Ontario
Hog Producers' in Toronto. A
special meeting is scheduled at
bhe ISouth Huron District High
School, Exeter, (Sept. 28, to dis-
cuss the new plan. Charles Mc-
Innis, president of the Ontario
Hog Prod'ucers', Jake Koller,
Toronto, manager of the sales
agency, and Eldred Aiken, Al-
lenford, chairman of 'Grey,
Bruce and Huron Counties zone
will attend.
President 'Wilfred Shortraed,
Walton, reported the Ontario
Federation of Agriculture an-
nual meeting will be held this
year in November instead of
January.
A resolution received from
the T.urnberry Township Federa-
tion was endorsed .and will be
submitted to the Huron County
(Council. It requested that im-
mediate action be taken on the
selection of a county park along
Lake Huron.
The date for the annual meet-
ing was set as Wednesday, No-
vember 28, in Londeslboro, in.
the form of a complimentary
dinner Tor township director's
and county olrficials.
Vice -President Doug McNeil,
lGoderich, was appointed the fed-
eration's representative on the
Lake Huron Zone Recreational
Council.
Gordon Greig, Bluevale, sec-

on Wed. evening in honor of
her niece, Miss Elizabeth Stec-
kle, a bride -elect of this week.
The address was read by Miss
Ethel Gabel of Zurich, and the
presentations were made by
the little MoClinchey sisters and
Ruth Geiger. After opening the
gifts the bride made a fitting
reply. Lunch was served by the
committee in charge. The bride -
elect was a faithful Sunday
School teacher in the Evangeli-
cal Church, Zurich, for a num-
ber of years.
Many attended the Baechler-
Beaver wedding in the Ammish
Mcnonite Church on -Saturday
afternoon, on the Bronson Line.
Mrs. Elva Young of Hamil-
ton spent Saturday with her
mother and father, Mr. and Mrs,

Mr. H. Thompson has purch-
ased the oatmeal nnill and is hav-
ing it put in shape for opera-
tion.
A number of local Masons at-
tended the funeral of the late
Bro. A. Scruton at Honsall.
Many citizens turned out for
a send-off for Howard Hays and
Fred Weir at the station as they
left for the front. The boys were
escorted to the station by the
band and the !Collegiate cadets
in full uniform.

ter visiting her parents, Mr. and
Mrs, Henry Cash in McKillop.
