Roberts Dies
unroll County Registrar of
Deeds for the past nine years, a
former County Clerk. and tit
leader in the establishing of Sky
'Garber Airport T. 1M. Roberts
died suddenly in Alexandra Mar-
ine and General Hospital on
Tuesday night last following a
seizure. lie was rid.
• Born in nlwganllof. John
MacDonald Roberts -was the- son
of Mr. and Mrs. Jahn 1.. Ro-
berts.
A Veteran of both world wars,
he saw active service as an offi-
cer with an artillery unit of the
CEF in France during the first
part of the First World Wta.r,
later transferring to the Royal
Flying Corps. In the Second
World War, ire enlisted in 1940
and served at London and other
points, being discharged at the
of the war with the rank of
Pring Commander,
Fallowing. the First World
War he served with t11e Union
Bank in Eastern Canada. and
Eastern Ontario.
He served as Counts Clerk
from 1984 to 1940 and was
'halved County Registrar of
Deeds in De.°.elrber, 1945. as-
suming the position in January.
1948.
He was a member of St.
George's Anglican Church,
Beside: his wife 1'e is survive
