The Huron Holstein Breeders As-
sociation held their annual banquet
in the Walton hall on Tuesday. The
special speaker was Ford Wiggins, a
former Clinton resident, now manag-
er of the produce department of the
Canada Packers and director of their
Toronto enterprises.
J. Willis VanEgnrnnd of Clinton,
president of the association, presided.
lie gave a brief outline of the asso-
ciation activities in regard to field
clay In June and the black and White
day held in conjunction with Bayfield
fall fair. He stated that Huron had
grown famous for beef, largely
through such beef herds as those of
l;phriant Snell of liullett. and Frank
G. Todd awl Son of St. Helens. The
Holstein breed is well on the way to
bring honors to the county. A special
exhibit of Holstein cattle will be ar-
ranged for the 194 plotting match.

In last week's issue we made men-
tion of Miss fanny Diehl being in
Clinton hospital, where she under-
went an operation on Monday and
we regret to say she passed array On
Thursday night. Her death carne as
a shock as she attended the annual
supper under the auspices of the
L,O,I,• on the previous Friday night
and appeared -in her usual health.
The deceased was a valued member
of St. John's Anglican Church, also
an active worker in the W.A. She
will be greatly missed in the com-
munity. We extend sincere sympathy
to the now bereaved family.
Aunt—"Eat your dinner, John-
nie; what are you waiting for?"
Johnnie—"Please, aunt, I'm wait-
ing for the mustard to cool."
