The W.A. and W.M.S. held their
regular meeting and bazaar in the
church on \Vednesday afternoon,
July 9th, when they entertained the
ladies of Egmoudville and Walton.
There were 85 present. The presid-
ent Mrs. E. Toll presided. The theme
of the meeting was on Racial Broth-
erhood andkthe president explained
it very fittingly, showing that it
needed to be demonstrated more
than ever now. Hymn. "Thy cease-
less unexhausted love," was sung
and the Lord's prayer repeated in
unison. Mrs. W. Dolntage gave the
words of welcome. The Scripture
reading taken from the 72nd psalm
was given by'Mrs C. Hilton and

Mrs. R. MacFarlane offered prayer.
Mies. W. Davidson, of Walton, favor-
ed with a very beautiful solo which
was followed with the roll call on
Brotherhood. A duet by Jean and
Margaret Habkirk was very much
enjoyed. The president welcomed
Mrs, Patton to the society and we
all feel she will be a great asset to
it. Hymn, "In Christ there is no East
or West," was sung, which was fol-
lowed by the offering and prayer for
Peace. Mrs. We Cuthill of Walton
favored with an instrumental. Mrs.
Gardiner -sof E nondville our guest
speaker, gave a very inspiring mes-
sage on Stewardship." Site explain-
ed that to be a good steward we
should ,use our time, talents and
Money for the furthering, of God's
kingdom. The ladies' quartette Of
Winthrop rendered a beautiful num-
ber and Mrs. H. Alexander moved a
vote of appreciation to all. Hymn,
"Lord; while for all mankind we
pray," was sung. The meeting clos-
ed with the national anthem and
Mrs. Patton offered prayer. A dainty
luncts was served.
She bad stood as much as she
could, but her enthusiastic partner in
khaki seemed ready to go on for
ever. At last she . got desperate.
"What's the difference between dan-
cing and marching?" she asked him.
"I don't know," he replied brightly,
T' 'thbi'tght -sol," she snapped.
"Shall' we sit down fort a bit?"
