ESTABLISHED 1012 Capacity Audience ATTEND McCORMIGK-DI E•RING POWER FARMING ENTER- TAINMENT On Friday, April 4th, John Bach local McCormick - Deering dealer sponsored a Power Farming enter tainment in Cardno's hall here. Many films of both an entertaining and educational nature ~tete shown. These films included comics and fns plement pictures, bringing to the farmers the latest development in time and labour-saving machinery. Two films worthy of special mention showed the new line of tractors and combines. The first film showed the new W4, 1V6 and WD6 tractors, These were the conventional Cour wheel type tractor anal were shown doing effic- ient and economical work right here in Ontario. Stream -lined for appear- ance, but ruggedly constructed for hard -trouble-free service. The other film was also taken around London, Ont., and was in technicolor. It showed the X42 and #61 combines under the difficulties of down , and tangled grain. 11116 was a condition experienced by so many farmers last season, but the combines bad no trouble at all in picking the grain up and doing a clean, thorough job of threshing it, Bob Cook, the smiling magician. and funny man, mystified the audi- ence with his feats of magic and kept spirits running high with his clever humor, Barney Sum, service foreman from London, gave an interesting and in- structive talk on Diesel engines. He explained the difference between the Diesel and gasoline engine and showed us why the Diesel is so much more economical, Our genial host, John Bach, gener- ously held a draw at which several good prizes were given away to the lucky winners. A thoroughly good time was en- joyed by all. The Harvester shows are fast drawing to a close for this season. Over one hundred shows have been put on and over forty thousand people have attended and enjoyed them.
