POWER FARMING ENTER-
TAINMENT
On Friday, April 4th, John Bach
local McCormick - Deering dealer
sponsored a Power Farming enter
tainment in Cardno's hall here.
Many films of both an entertaining
and educational nature ~tete shown.
These films included comics and fns
plement pictures, bringing to the
farmers the latest development in
time and labour-saving machinery.
Two films worthy of special mention
showed the new line of tractors and
combines.
The first film showed the new W4,
1V6 and WD6 tractors, These were
the conventional Cour wheel type
tractor anal were shown doing effic-
ient and economical work right here
in Ontario. Stream -lined for appear-
ance, but ruggedly constructed for
hard -trouble-free service. The other
film was also taken around London,
Ont., and was in technicolor. It
showed the X42 and #61 combines
under the difficulties of down , and
tangled grain. 11116 was a condition
experienced by so many farmers last
season, but the combines bad no
trouble at all in picking the grain up
and doing a clean, thorough job of
threshing it,
Bob Cook, the smiling magician.
and funny man, mystified the audi-
ence with his feats of magic and kept
spirits running high with his clever
humor,
Barney Sum, service foreman from
London, gave an interesting and in-
structive talk on Diesel engines. He
explained the difference between the
Diesel and gasoline engine and
showed us why the Diesel is so much
more economical,
Our genial host, John Bach, gener-
ously held a draw at which several
good prizes were given away to the
lucky winners.
A thoroughly good time was en-
joyed by all. The Harvester shows
are fast drawing to a close for this
season. Over one hundred shows
have been put on and over forty
thousand people have attended and
enjoyed them.
