Whltesides Succumbs, - Albert F. \Vhitesides, provincial constable and high county constable for Waterloo county, cried at his home, 35 Highland Road, Kitchener. Lifter a brief illness, on Wednesday last. He was 65 years of age. Frank aleauln, were fete b« en HULLETT Ou Thursday afternoon a quilting bee was held at the home of Mrs. George Carter, when a couple of Red Cross guilts were completed. The following afternoon, three of the members retm'ned to Mrs. Carter's, and put another quilt in the frames. It was completed that night. This makes 25 quilts pieced from small patches and quilted by this little group, besides knitting and some sewing, for Red Cross and refugee work since August. Several other quilt tops are pieced ready for an - outer quilting bee. Matt. Armstrong is in Seaforth hospital and Mrs. Armstroug and' Ella have both been ill.
