Albert F. Whltesides Succumbs, -
Albert F. \Vhitesides, provincial
constable and high county constable
for Waterloo county, cried at his
home, 35 Highland Road, Kitchener.
Lifter a brief illness, on Wednesday
last. He was 65 years of age. Con-
stable Whiteside was widely known
in Western Ontario where he had
been on the .Huron county and Prov-
incial polies forces for thirty-five
years, and was known as a painstak-
ing and efficient officer. He was born

the late Mr. and Mrs. William White•
side of Ireland. He was on the Hue

HULLETT
Ou Thursday afternoon a quilting
bee was held at the home of Mrs.
George Carter, when a couple of Red
Cross guilts were completed. The
following afternoon, three of the
members retm'ned to Mrs. Carter's,
and put another quilt in the frames.
It was completed that night. This
makes 25 quilts pieced from small
patches and quilted by this little
group, besides knitting and some
sewing, for Red Cross and refugee
work since August. Several other
quilt tops are pieced ready for an -
outer quilting bee.
Matt. Armstrong is in Seaforth
hospital and Mrs. Armstroug and' Ella
have both been ill. We hope they will
soar all be strong again.
On Sunday Mr. and Mr's. Ed John•
stop and little daughter Patsy. of
Exeter. visited at the hone of 31r,
and .lies, George Lawrence.

ing the life of Doctor Norman, was
in charge of Mrs. Norman Alexander,
She was assisted by Mrs, J. Finlay.

Chandler, Mrs, Henderson read a
reading on "Finding the Way through
Bible Study." Hymn, Break Thou the
Bread of Lite, was sung and Mrs.
Henderson gave the closing prayer.
Lunch was served by Circle No, 2.
