A meeting of Huron Presbytery,
to have been held at Goderich this
week, was postponed owing to the
storm.
Mr. Ken Campbell is moving Ills
Welding shop this week to the frame
building on John street, just west of
Mc1{indsey's drug store.
Mr. Win. Thompson of McKillop,
who has been seriously ill In Scott
Memorial Hospital, was reported on
Wednesday to be improving, Mrs.
Thompson has been staying with
Mrs. J. Kerr.
Gunner Frank Grieve of Petawawa
spent the week end with his par-
ents, Mr. and Mrs. James Grieve.
Miss Janet Wilson of London spent
the week end with her father, Mr.
J. A. Wilson.
A large caterpillar tractor for Port
Albert airport was unloaded at Sea -
forth about six p.m. Wednesday from
a truck which had taken nine hours
to reach Seaforth from Mitchell. The
tractor proceeded front here under
its own power.
Pte. George Case, Elgin Regt., Lon-
don, was a visitor at his borne here.
Mr. Lorne Ibbotson, Galt. spent the
week end with his mother. Mrs. ib•
botson,
Mr. Stewart Geddes. London. spent
Sunday with his parents. Itlr• and
Mrs. E. Geddes.
Mr: John Beattie has purchased
Mrs. James Nelson's house on Vic-
toria street, and will remodel it.
