The war has given Britain's
railways anis railwaymen a huge
task, vilttl to the national effort.
They are doing it magnificently.
Transport of troops, of ;vac mat-
erial, and of industrial freight slakes
enormous demands on liners, rolling-
strait,

Plans have to he made., abandoned,

almost no notice.
Railway working in maty of its
