Wheeler is able to be out again,. atter his recent illness. The Red Cross tea last Friday evening held in the school room of the church, was a great success. In all over fifty dollars was made, The display of refugee clothings was a credit to the people of Bruce - field and the neighborhood. Besides clothing for men, women and child- ren, there were fourteen quilts and some woollen blankets. The Branch here had sent thirty-six woolen blan- kets previous to this. Some who did not send clothing sent money. Credit is also due to the committee 1n. charge. Mrs. Hohner has returned home from Goderich.
