in Midland and will call at Bayfield

Mr. and Mrs. Robt. Heard of Lon-
don were in the village this week

point. They spent the winter in Cali-
fornia,
Mrs. Seeds of Toronto is at the
Lakeview Hotel this week. Mrs.
Seeds' daughter Bernice Seeds, R.N.
left en • Friday for England with a
party of nurses from Toronto for ser
vire overseas. Bernice attended pub-
lic school here and collegiate in Clin•
ton and has many friends in Bayfield.
Late Capt. W. J. McLeod—
Capt. W. J. McLeod: aged 58, well
known Bayfield fisherman. died from
a heart attack when he fell into the
waters of Lake Huron between Bay
Held and St. Joseph at 3.30 o'clock
Monday afternoon. He was sitting in
the stern of the boat putting' on oil

he fell overboard. Richard McDoei
shouted to Capt. John Me'Leod ,Jr.. the
victim's son. to stop the brat. Were

A bountiful lunch was served on the
spacious lawn of the president. Mrs.
W. Lyon gave a hearty vote of
thanks to Mrs. Fairservicc for her
hospitality in entertaining us at her
home, and reepouded by giving a

enjoyed a very pleasant afternoon to.

Following the wedding ceremony a
wedding dinner was served at the
home of the bride's sister, Mrs. Car
man McPherson of Cromarty, after
which Mr. and Mrs. Tyndall left for
a motor trip to Niagara Falls, Forest
and other points.
On their return they will reside on
the groom's farm do Goderich Town•
ship.
