Clinton Spring Show
Draws Large Crowd
The weather was not Just all that
thight be desired Thursday for the
postponed Canton spriug show, but
that little circumstance did not keep
the crowds front attending the show
and it Is conservatively estimated that
over 4,000 people were in the town.
The quality of stock also was of the
best and entries in all classes were
numerous. A special feature of the
1940 sitars Was the installation of a
loud speaker and the announcement
0f the prize winnersasthe judging
was mulled on. Addresses were also
given through the loud speaker at the
opening of the show.
W. IT. Lobb, president of the Huron
Central Agricultural Society, spoke
first, then Mayor Waters, Warden
