TENDERS WANTED
Township of McKillop
Tender's will be received by the
Council of the Township of McKillop
until 4 o'clock P.M.. Monday. April
lst, 1940. at a rate per eub. yd. for
erushing gravel and placing on the
Township roads in 1940. One inch
round screen to be used. and all
large stones (except hard heads) to
be crushed. Estimated amount 5000
to 7000 cub. ycls. Work to begin
about Sept. 1st and to be finished
early in November. Work to be done
under the supervision of the Road
Superintendent and to his entire sat-
isfaction and that of the Council.
A satisfactory bond or a certified
cheque will be required of the con-
tractor whose tender is accepted for
the fulfillment of his contract.
Lowest or any tender not necessar-
ily accepted. Tenders will be opened
at the Carnegie Library Hall at
above time and date.

Township of Tuckersmith
Tenders will be received by the
Council of the Township of Tucker -
smith, up to Saturday, March 23rd,
at 7.30 o'clock P.M., for the follow-
ing purposes:
(1) For the entire operation of
crushing gravel and placing on road.
Contractor to furnish all labor and
equipment at a rate per cub. yard,
within a radius of 5 miles, also at a
rate over 6 miles.
(2) For operating the Township
crusher. Contractor to furnish power
sufficient to operate crusher at full
capacity, belt, labor, feel and oil to
place the gravel in the bin. The Mull -
ideality to supply oil for crusher and
drag line, and be responsible for ord.
Mary wear and tear on crusher, but
will hold the Contractor responsible
for repairs caused by inefficient or
careless operation and for keeping
the pit in good condition, Tenderer
to state price per cub. yard.
(3) For trucking gravel from bin
to road, by the yard mile, and flat
rate per yard within 5 miles radius.

quired of the Contractor whose tender
is accepted, for the due fulfillment of
his contract in each case, but the
lowest or any tender not necessarily

1 cup tomatoes
1 small minced onion
1 bay leaf in water
Add pepper and salt.
Simmer ten minutes
Fry bacon and in fat, rendered,
stir 1 tbsp. flour.
Add to hot mixture and cook
till thick.
Remove from heat and pour one layer in buttered baking dish, then
alternate with 1 cup naked fish and shredded cheese, cover with but-
tered crumbs. Dot with cheese. Bake until brown. Serve hot.
