Lindsay died Thurs- day, Feb. 22, after a lingering ulnas of rhuenmatisnr or the heart. She was the foster Elizabeth Dempsey, a daughter of the late John and Eliza- beth Dempsey and was born in Gocle rich Township in June 1885, and had spent all her life in the township, In June, 1912, she married David M. Lidsay and they resided on the John B. Lindsay homestead farm on No, 8 highway one mile west of Clinton. Besides her husband there survive two sons and two daughters, They are' Grant Russel and John David at home, Elizabeth Isobel, a graduate of Western University, London, and the college of education, Toronto, at home since June last, and Margaret Doris Faye, 1101'410 in training at Hamilton hospital. One brother and three sis- ters also survive. They are John Dempsey, farming the Dempsey home- stead farm, Goderieh township; Mrs, T. J. Webster, Tnckersmith, Mrs. A. Stirling, McKillop, and Mrs. Edward Miller, Goderich township. Mrs. Lind- say was a member of Wesley Willis United Church, Clinton, and had been a regular attendant until iter illess. The operator merely steers in a straight line to obtain perfect plowing results. The Ferguson sys- tem hydraulic mechanism keeps the plows at a uniform depth and oper- ates without attention except at the ends of the field. Then a con- venient.* easily -operated lever is moved to lift and lower the plow when turning. The tractor pulls a two -bottom 14 -inch plow with ease, and because of its light weight gives remarkably low fuel con- sumption, average fuel consumption being one gallon an hour.
