The agricultural situation 112 (1112•

creased production during the year
included larger crops of grains, routs.
fruit, and tobacco: an expansion of
the make of creamery butter and fac-
tory cheese;- greater holdings anti

greater production of poultry and
eggs. Prices of butter. cheese, grain
crops and fruit were extremely low
(luring the first eight months of the
year. and as a result farm fnc•olne
during this period was somewhat less

1938. in the last four months of the
year agricultural prices advanced
strongly and farm income for these
months was considerably higher than
in the same months of 1938,
The commencement of the year
1940 finds Ontario agriculture, in a
