wedding dinner served in the beauti-
fully decorated diningeroom, the
guests retired to the living -room
where the afternoon was spent in an
entertainment given by the, grand-
children, which comprised of High-
land Fling dances, readings, violin
and piano selections.
The esteemed couple received many
gifts among which was a purse of
gold 'from the family. Mrs. ,Bolton
was also remembered by a beautiful
bouquet of roses. Telegrams of con-
gratulations were received from Mon-
treal, Toronto, 'Windsor and Lan-. C. Campbell, G. C. Petty, Robert
don. Higgins and James Priest. School

Mr. Elliott Bell, of Roseburg, Ore-
gon, arrived home on Thursday even-
ing and, will spend the winter with his
parents, 'Mr, and Mrs. James A. Bell.
Mr. Bell has been in Oregon nearly
three years, and says things this
last year have been very dull and
quiet, and there is no place like old
Ontario yet.
Mrs. Thos. Bury is spending the
Christmas holidays with her sons in
Windsor.
Mr. and Mrs. C. Hoggarth and sons
are spending the holidays with Mrs.
Hoggarth's parents, Mr. and ,Mrs.

Dr. T. Knapp and Mrs. Knapp are

HIBBERT.
A sad death occurred in Hibbert
on Tuesday, December 29th, in the
passing of Miss Eleanor Jordan,
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Jor-
dan. Miss Jordan, who has been
teachii5/ at Welland, was spending
the holidays •with her parents' and
had brought"two London nephews
with her. She became very ill with.
pneumonia and heart trouble and :al-
though everything possible was done
for her, she passed away. She was
in her twenty-ninth year. The fun-
eral takes place Thursday morning
from her father's residence,' lot 22,
concession 3. Hibbert, to St. Colum -
ban church and thence to St. Colum -
ban .cemetery for interment.
