L. T. DeLACEY PASSES.
All 'Seaforth mourns the loss of a
favorite citizen by: the death on Sun-
day morning of Mr. Lawder T.
(Count) DeLacey- after. an illness of
six months. He was 53 years of age
and came to •Seaforth from Smith-
ville in 1893, ''being engaged by A. G.
Van.Egmond's Sons' as their account-
ant. In 1911 he was united in mar-
riage to Edna, eldest daughter of the
late George E. Henderson, and with

mercial Hotel which, they conducted

was engaged . as accountant for the
Seaforth Milling Co., and later on as
manager for the Rob Roy Co. who
took over the mills and was account-
ant for the Huron Flour Mills, the
present owners, at the time of his
being taken ill. He was a member of
the Seaforth 'Presbyterian church
and a member of the choir for a
great many years. He ' had been
town auditor for a great _ many
veers and was secretary -treasurer of
'he Collegiate Institute Board. He
was an accomplished musician,

FORM A TUXIS SQUARE
On 'Thursday' evening, Dec. 17th a
group of town boys met at the resi-
dence of Mr: C. A. Barber to form
a Tuxis Square. By an unanimous
vote of the boys present, Mr. E. R.
Crawford was chosen as mentor. Mr.
Lance Norris gave a very interesting
serech on its organization. The of-
ficers were then chosen in the fol-
lnwinn order: M, Savauge, Pretor;
R. Wilk, Deputy; W. Barber, Comp -
tor; A. Sillery; Scriptor. Messrs.
Crawford, Bowe, Norris, Mackin-
tosh, F. S. Savauge and. Fred Crich
were then chnsen to look after the
initiation. After a delightful lunch
served by Mrs. Barber, the Square
adjourned and met on Monday night
at Mr. F. S. Sarauge's residence
where the initiation of the officers
took. place.
FINE CONCERT.
A most successful Christmas tree
entertainment • under the auspices of
the Junior League was held on Mon-
day night in the North Side church.
There was a large attendance, the
schoolroom being well filled. Mr. C.
Howey, who contributed so much
toward the success of the entertain-
ment by the capable and painstaking
manner in which he trained the chil-
dren' ' presided.
hi•1-ciren,'presided. The programme, in
which all the members of the Lea-
gue performed their parts very well,
included choruses, vocal and instru-
mental duets. One of the special
features was a violin solo by. Arthur
Golding, son of Mayor and Mrs.
W. H. Golding. Mr. Janes . Robb
impersonated Santa Claus. The
adult ,Bib,e class presented Rev, R.
Fulton Irwin . with -an ebony travel -
.ling case and the Philathea class Mrs..
Irwin, a set of sherbet glasses. The
superintendent and teachers were also
remembered in the gifts from the tree.
The open collection amounted to $21.
The League, which numbers • forty
young people, is in charge of Mrs. J.
(.,Johnston and Mrs. Wm. Hamra..
