was well attended. A few hours
were spent in piecing quilts, after
which the meeting opened by sing-
ing hymns and repeating the Beati-
tudes. Mrs, 'Millen presided: The
Scripture lesson was read by Mrs.
0. '31 Faslane and Messenger prayer
by Miss \icNef1, followed by a nia-
ment's silent prayer for Home ,Mis-
sioes. The topic on home missions
was given 'by \hiss Mary McKee and
was full of interest of the great work
that is being done, followed by vol-
untary prayer by Mrs. 'Ferguson and
\Irs, Bennett, After a few items of
bnsinese were transacted the ' meet-
ing closed by singing a hymn and all
repeating the Lord's prayer.

the funeral of the late Mrs. Albert
Townsend, who passed away at her

Anniversary Services,--• Anniver-
sary services were held here last Sun-
day. Professor R. Davidson, D.D., of
Toronto, who was the preacher of
the day, is a deep thinker; his able
sermons were well delivered to large
and attentive tents t cangregaitans. The
choir .had special music; in the morn-
ing Aldrich of

solo, he was accompanied by Mr. Vine
also of London; these two young men
have assisted the choir on several or-
casimts, Their music was well re-
ceived as was that of the quartette
composed of Rev. and Mrs. Armour,
Mfrs. Zap'fe and Mr. Tebhutt. In the
evening the choir sang beautifully
the anthem. "Praise Ye Jehovah";
solar, "Teach 'Me to Pray," by Miss
Jean Murdoch, and "The End of A
Perfect Day," by Mrs. Armour were
sung sweetly:. The managers asked
for a special offering of four hundred
dollars, and we are pleased that this
