O'Connor was born in Simcoe.coun-
ty in 1842, daughter of the late Wil-
liam and Sarah Ryan Matthews, and
as a child came to 'Hibbert with her
parents and settled on the fourthycon-
cessiou. Upon her .marriage to Mr.
O'Connor, sixty-four yearsago, she
came to the third concession where
she remained the rest ofher life. De-
ceased was highly thought of
throughout out the community and
everyone found it. a pleasure to tank
with her as she always .took a keen
interest in current*world events `and
had a remarkable memory: She was
the last survivor of a family of 1.1
children. Her husband predeceased
her three years ago, Surviving are
five daughters and two sons,. Cather-

The Ladies' Aid of the United
church held their October meeting

been malting a record not only at
home but abroad. They captured
