Her nature was kindly, alwa anxious to help some person and good. It is interesting to note th her nephew, W. C. Muir,'a native Clinton, and now of 'Montreal, 1m attained the distinguished position general manager of the express d pa'rttnent of the Canadian Natien Railways. The funeral ,took pia on Monday afternoon, a former pa tor, Rev. 12. A. Lundy, taking tl services. Pallbearers were Messr John Lamb, John McDonald, Du can Johnston and Freeman 'Has well. Hoy and fam- ily spent Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. [Vera. Hoy, Sr. Quite a number went to Ethel last Thursday to the old boys' reunion. Mr, John Fulton is improving in health. Mr. Wm. Clark is able to •be out after an operation for appendicitis about three •weeks ago. Mrs. Cook, of Toronto, will return oa Thursday after a month's visit with her niece, Mrs. Perdue, The Ladies' Guild of St. George's church held their monthly meeting at the hone of Mrs. Fred Scarlett on August 5th. The next meeting ,will be held at the home of Mrs. Ed. Driscoll. Mr. Thomas Boyd and son Orval, of. Toronto, were week -end visitors at 'the home of Mrs. Driscoll.
