St. Columban football tears met
the Tnekersmith Hurons on the home
grounds in an intermediate series
game in this district. The St. Col-
mnban team defeated them by the
score of 1 to 0 in a 'hard fought
game and the Hurons were blanked.
The honkie team put up the hest game
of the season and deserved to win.
This gives then second place in this
district. Kinburn being the winners
of the district.

The Council. --On Tuesday, June
23rd. the McKillop Council met as
per adjournment. Members all pres-
ent: Minutes of last meeting were
adopted, The Engineer's report on
the Dillon i;\funicipal Drain was read
and after due consideration was
adopted. Interested parties present
agreed oil debenture term of 10
years. The clerk nes instructed to
draft a by-law for raising necessary
funds for construction work accord-
ing to estimate.; of 'John Rogers,
engineer. The cotutciI convened as
a Court of Rt•.ision on the ;Law-
rence rind I)i11 Drains. There be -
mg 110appeals, by-Iatvs on both
drains were finally passed, and the
cleric was instructed to advertise fnr
tenders on Lawrence drain. The
Reeve and Treasurer were empower-
ed to issue and sell debentures on
rhe Barron, 'Lawrence- and Dill Mu-
nicipal Drains. Tenders 00 two
bridges -were opened as +follows:
