Mrs. Wm. Mitchell.—Another old
pioneer passed to her reward on Sat-
urday, June 13th, in the person of
Isa+bell: McDonald, relict of the late
Wnt. 'Mitchel'l., Mrs. Mitchell was
born in Scotland and came' to Can-
ada ,when 'a 'child of six years. She
settled in Rana and in 1865 was mar-
ried to Wm Mitchell, 'Grey township.
They lived in Elena and Logan, where
they had a sawmill business; Mr.
Mitchell died in 1919, and lately ,Mr;.
Mitchell had lived with her sons, Alex
and Donald, of 'Logan. She was 81
years of age and is survived by a'fam-
four sons and a daughter:

Mrs. Mary Currie—Another of the
very -few retraining pioneers - of this
district passed to her reward, on Fri-
day evening, June 5th, at 1the great age
of 92 years and 9 months in the
person of Mary McKellar, widow 11
the late .Hugh Currie. Deceased was
of t very retiring nature and one of
the very finest types of Christian
womanhood. Deceased, bad been
wonderfully active until something
over two years ago when she be-
came very frail. She was a consist-
ent member of ,the Presbyterian
church and had always a profound
reverence for things sacred, and a
love of the beautiful in nature and in
boobs and a deep compassion for
those
in sorrow and
trouble. e.

settled here about 70 years ago .and
who 'p'layed a very important' part
in laying the .foundation of this place,
spiritual as well as 'material. She
leaves to mourn - the loss -of a rare
and beautiful ,personality, three deli-
