The football game ,between. the
"Hurons 'of Tucicersmith" and Win-

Wednesday evening 'wlas fairly well
attended. As Winthrop have just or-
ganized for the first time inthe
intermediates they put up a -pretty
fair game, and some of their men
had never had a ,practice and consid-
ering the team they were :tip against,
they deserve great credit. The
score was 1-0 'for Winthrop at
end of second period and ended 2-1
for the Hurons, although it should
-have been a tie 1-1 as there was a
foul and the_referee did not 'blow his
soon enough and the game
went on and the hall slipped in. The
Huroiis'have been.'picked out of three
teams, Bnucefield, Seaforth and Tuck-
ersmith, who all played for years
so they haven't much to brag about
in 'playing with a team that 'have
just started out. The line-up for ,the
game paras as follows: Winthrop-
