died at St. Joseph's 'hospital;•'London,
on Wednesday, Juin 19th, 'following
..an operation which -was perforfned'
three 'weeks ago. •Three years ago
he underwent an operation which
had given 'him relief until quite re-
cently. He was in 'his seventy-ninth
year, -having been -born in the -year
1845,,a son of the late James• Wanless,
Sr., at Varna, where 'he lived all his
life. Upon reaching 'manhood he
was united in marriage W Miss Sarah
Rise; of Varna, who survives to`-
ge'ther with one daughter and two
sons, Mrs. Geo, T. Turnbull, .Sea -
forth; 'Earl Wanless, of Virouoa,
Wisconsin, and Garnet, at'ho'ine;•also
two brothers and a sister, James, of

to the Methodist church all. his life
