Two operations took place at the hospital this week covering• the two extremes of life; one that of a child less than a year old for appendicitis, and the other a lady 83 years ofage for strangulated hernia in which, local anaesthetic was used. Gregory, Toronto, last night completed a 1,300 -utile bicycle tette, which took thein to Quebec city, Montreal, south to New York city and west to Toronto, the entire trip consuming only 18 days. Of these two groups those' having surpluses will expect these to be car- ried forward to their credit, while in the second group, Goderich township, Hay, 1".
