The annual S. S. picnic .from St. Andrew's United Church was held Thursday, July 10th at Jow- ett's Grove, Bayfield, with about 130 members and children of the congregation in attendance. The children ran several laces and re- ceived prizes. Mr. and Mrs, Robt. D, Elgie and Mr. and Mrs. Jack Cooper -Jr. were in charge of the sports, Mrs. Tom Reid won a Prize for guessing the number of mints in a jar. Two relays . were won by Mr. and Mrs. J. Cooper Jr., and Mr. and Mrs. R. Consitt. Mrs. J. W. ^McLean was the win- ner for being the eldest lady pre- sent; necktie race was won by Mr. John Sinclair: and Mrs. Robt. A candy scramble was held for the children, and a most delicious picnic supper was served.
