Achievement Night The 110th annual 4-H Achieve rent !Night was held at the Wingham' Distinct !High School, Friday, Dec. 6th. Mr. John Strong, (Pres., Qiuron County 4 iH Agricultural !Club Leaders' Association, was chairman. The guest speaker was Williams Montcalm, Director of Field Services, Extension 'Branch, On- tario Department of Agricul- ture, Toronto. :Presentation of special and cash awards was in charge of A. S. Bolton, Assist- ant •Agricultural Representative. Henry Perry Plumsteel Henry Perry T'lum tee' died in Clinton Community Hospital Saturday morning in his 7.8bh year after a short illness. ale was the eldest son of the late Henry and Margaret Plumsteel. 4n 1011 he married Effie Both- well, who died 28 years ago. Mr. Plumsteel was a member of Ontario Street United Church and until recently was active in the church, and was a member of the choir. He was a member of the Masonic order and had filled lthel master's chair in the Clinton lodge. 'He was in busi- ness in Clinton for more than 40 years in partnership with his brother !William and was well- known by !Clinton residents. He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Charles (Marie) Brandon, No. 8 highway east of Clinton, and Mrs. Karl (Lorna) D'Aubin, Toronto; two sons, Harry, on the homestead on •the London Road, and Lawrence, principal of ,Seaforth High School; one sister, Miss Emma Plumsteel, and two brothers, William and Roy, all of Clinton; eight grand- children. The ,Funeral was held on Mon- day from the Beattie Funeral Home, Clinton, conducted by Rev. Grant Mills, of Ontario Street United Church. Burial was in Clinton Cemetery. Mrs. W. L. Johnson Mrs. W. L. Johnson, widow of William L. Johnson, who died only three weeks ago, died in Clinton .Community Hospital Saturday morning in her 62nd year. She was the former Etelka Agnes Leitch and was (born in Hallett twp. For many years she and her husband had a •gro- cery business on Albert Street, Clinton. She was an active mem- ber of 81. Paul's Anglican Church. She is survived by one daughter, ;!Mrs. Charles (Agnes) Dade; two sons, iGharles, of 'Clin- ton, and Leonard, 1St. Marys; two sisters, Mrs. Robert i(Lily) Jamieson, Jiullett twp.,'and Mrs. (Bruce (Annie) Medd, Sea - forth; one brother, Geo. Leitch. ✓Eullebt township. The funeral was held on Mon- day from the Ball add Match Funeral Home,Clinton, con- ducted by Rev. C. S. lander of St. Paul's Anglican Church. In- terment was in Clinton.•Ceme- tery.
