WMS at their autumn Thank -
offering meeting on Wed. Oct.

Mrs. B.. Dodds and Mrs. R. Mc-
Clure received the guests while
Mrs. Johnston played soft mus-
ic on the -organ. The church was
-decorated with " beautiful late
fall flowers. The meeting was
opened with a thanksgiving
hymn, followed by the 1107th
Psalm, whish was read by Mrs.
Gordon Blanchard. Mrs. Wm,
Dodds led in prayer. Words of
welcome were extended to all
by the president, -after which all
read the general 'Thanksgiving,
in unison. The members were
reminded to hand in .heir mite
boxes and also subscribe for the
Missionary Monthly. Anyone
who has clothing for the bale
please bring it to the November
meeting. 'Hymn 564 was sung
followed by the presentation of.
the •offering,''whicli was receiv-
ed by Mrs. Wen. and Mrs. Wil-
son Little. A very enjoyable in-
strumental was played by Mrs.
Johnston. Mrs.• Wm. Alexander
gave a reading. Mrs. Hen. Tra-
vis of Walton contributed a
beautiful solo, "Bles"s This
House" accompanied by Mrs.
iliarvey Brown. Mrs. :Smith in-
troduced Mrs. '1W. L. 'Whyte, the
guest speaker, who delivered a
very interesting and inspiring
address en "Thanksgiving". Mrs.
L. lDolmage in a gracious man-
ner thanked the speaker and all
others who took pant in the
programa.
The meeting closed with a
hymn and prayer after which a
lunch was served by the ladies,
and everyone enjoyed a social
half hour.
