I. was held in the community hall on Thursday evening, April 25th with the president, Mrs. Margaret Hum- phries in the chair. The Institute Ode and Mary Stewart Collect were repeated in unison, after which "0 Canada" was sung with Mrs. Herb Travis as •accom- panist. Mclean f6He Gets Things one for Huron" Born in Seaforth, he is the 47 -year-old Editor of The Huron Expositor. A member of First Presbyterian Church, Seaforth, he is married, with a family of two boys and two girls. He served as Member of Parliament (1949-53) for the former riding of Huron -Perth. In 1952 he was named a delegate to represent Canada at the seventh general assembly of the United Nations. He is a veteran of the RCAF. retiring in 1946 with the rank of Squadron Leader. He is familiar with municipal problems and has been most active in community affairs. He is a member of the Canadian Legion, Lions Club and of the Board of Scott Memorial Hospital. He is a former chairman of the Seaforth Public Utility Commission. As editor of a rural weekly, he is well versed in the problems facing the farmer, as well as the town resident. Climate and resource's make Canada a great country in which to live - good government has helped make Canada strong and free. Let's keep it that way. Hymn 252 was sung and the pulipose was repeated. We sang iihe 'C.'G.LT, hymn. 15 girls answered the roll ea'll and next 'week we are going to have a verse with "Spirit" for the roll call. The minutes were read and adopted. Mrs. Boyes led' us in our ,Mission Study with a story on "Korea". Lunch was served by 1 -Helen Boyes and Faye Blue. We closed -with "Taps" and the Benediction.
