Mr. and Mrs. Borden„ 'Brown visited on Tuesday evening with Mr. /Brown's father who is in the Hanover Hospital. DUBLIN HIGH SCHOOL NEWS , '('C. Moylan) On Monday everything start- ed rolling again as students were seeking reports, grounds were (being rolled, and the school dance being ;planned. Another event is 'coming yup this week. On Friday the annu- al music festival will Ibe held in Mitchell, and next week we hope to be able to report some success there. The steam roller appeared on the school grounds Monday, and the student .coun- cil wore some pretty worried faces, as it threatened to flat- ten their pockets, until they learned that it was (being looked after Iby higher hands. The grounds look very nice and shortly summer sports will Ibe under way. IGnr 'SMaytime Serenade" is to be held the 10th of the month' and promises to be really in keeping with spring, as the de- corating committee are dream - 'that the magnolias and gar- denias will he in bloom, and dancing will be held under a roof of apple blossoms. Birds, bunnies, and :butterflies will be seen in various haunts, I am told. The entertainment conunittee are aiming pretty high as they plan to stage a variety show, and some hints were dropped about Ed. Sullivan, a ventrilo- quist, singers, and other acts. We will learn more later. HENSALL Celebrate 25th Anniversary About 40 relatives and friends gathered at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Wm, Smale on Saturday evening on the occasion of their 25th wedding anniversary. Eu- chre was enjoyed after which refreshments and the anniver- sary cake were served. Mr. and Mrs. Smale received many beautiful :gifts including a tri -lite lamp; electric fryer, electric coffee -maker, blankets, silverware, 'bronze plaques and two chairs. Guests were present from London, Seaforth, Clinton, Zurich, Exeter, Ailsa Craig. Mr. and 'Mrs. Cousins (nee Betty Smale), London attended. Mr. and Mrs. John Henderson Dublin W. I. held on Tuesday and Jack visited on Sunday with a good number in attend- with Mr. and Mrs. 'Keith Lind- ance. The roll call was answered by the paying of fees. Mr. Staf- ford Johnson, R. R. _ 2, Mitchell, county chairman for the mass x- ray survey in Perth, addressed the meeting. The president, Mrs. John Nagle 'presided for bhe bu- siness period. Short reports were given by the standing commit- tees. Mrs. Reuben Aikens was appointed District director and Mrs. William Stuart, (branch dir- ector. All remaining officers of 1956 hold the same offices for another year. Miss Vera }fallibly of Staffa W. S. installed the officers. Mrs. W. Stuart and Mss. Jorgenson were ap- pointed voting delegates to the district annual being held at Motherwell. IMiss Bernadette Nagle entertained with a solo. For the summer months the meetings will be held in the evenings at 8.30. 'Mrs. George Robinson will be hostess for the next meeting. Lunch was served. 'Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs., Michael Coyne, the proud parents of twins, a boy and girl. This is the second set of twins in the family. CONSTANCE Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Johnston and Bobby Dale of Clinton and Mr. Leonard Johnston of St. Marys visited Saturday with Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Leitch. Mr. and Mrs, Albert Whyard and Mrs. Howes of London vis- ited a day last week with Mr. and Mrs. Robt. Grimaldby. Mr. and 'Mrs. Winston Wilk inson of Warwick and Mrs. !1M. Jewitt, Sr., visited 'at the homes of Mr. and Mrs. Wilbur Jewitt and family and 'Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Jewitt and family. Mrs. Jewitt remained here with her sons lbefore returning to the West. After spending the holidays with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Verne 'Dale, Miss Muriel Dale returned to her teaching duties near 'Brampton, and has ac- cepted her school for another year. Miss 'Helen Mclllwain of Stratford spent the weekend with (her -parents, Mr. and 'Mrs. Geo. McIlwain. Miss Joyce Jewitt has also re- turned to her teaching duties at Thorndale after spending the Easter holidays at her parental home„ and has also accepted her school for another year. Miss Mary Whyte, a student say of Thamesville. They were accompanied home by Jean, Kathy and 'Sylvia, who have spent the (past week there. Mrs. Nott of Clinton is spending a few weeks with Mrs. Annie Saundercock. 'Mrs. D. E. ;Smith, local repre- sentative of the Bell Telephone has been on vacation. Miss Jean Lavender, returned to Hamilton 'after holidaying With her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Thos. Lavender, Mrs. GuyBedard and children returned to London after spend- ing a few days with her par- ents, Mr. and Mrs. Stewart Bell, Pauline and Anne. Mr. Ronald Farquhar of Tor- onto visited last week with his parents Mr. and Mrs, 'Charles Farquhar. ,Mr, and Mrs. (Chester Lee re- turned to their home in Park- hill after spending a few days with Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Beer. Mr. James Mustard visited last week with relatives in Ghes- ley. Mrs. Donald MacKinnon and children .of Alvinston visited last week with Mr. and Mrs. Donald MacKinnon 'Sr. Mr. 'Basil -Edwards, who has been a patient in St. Joseph's Hospital, London was able to re- turn home last week. Mrs, Annie Saundercock, who has been receiving treatment in .South Huron Hospital, Exeter, and later at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Wiilert was able to return to her home here last week. Mr. and 'Mrs. Ray Consitt are congratulated for the arrival of a baby boy, born Monday April 29th in Clinton Hospital. WINTHROP Mr. T.
