You will ape that we have not
improved our position in the last
week' by losing both games played
and now we have only four, more
games to play. ,Seafortli in Guelph
on Thurs., Jan. 24. and next hone
game here, Tuesday, San: 29, with
Waterloo which is a very import-
ant game for us if we hope to'
finish in first position, By finish=
ing. in first position we have the
choice of which team we play ire
the semi final games, also get the
extra game on home ice in both
semi final and final games. This
could be very important nt iYeither
play off games go to a final or
fifth game in a best of five game
series. Since the Waterloo -game
here on Tuesday, Jan. 29,,,is'eo
important to us we sincerely hbpe
that a large attendance wjj1 Won
handtohelp cheer our team to a
victory on this night. Many may
not realize what a difference a
good crowd can make to a team
spirit. This was very noticeable
on the night London played here
when only 200 turned out. Please
make an effort to give us your
support on our last two games of
the season. Your attendance will
be greatly appreciated by both
team and management.
Preparations are going rorward
for Jack Mcllwain night on Tues-
day, Feb. 5, when Guelph plays
the final scheduled game•in Sea -
forth. We have had many favor-
able reports on our efforts to
make this a memorable night for
Jack. Many have asked regarding
donations for the public present-
ation and as stated before any
one wishing to donate will please
contact Thorpe Rivers as we are
not going to solicit donations, and
unless you make your donations
early Thorpe will be unable to
make the necessary arrangements
in advance. The athletic associ-
ation are making their own plans
and no funds turned in to Thorpe
will be used by them.
I know how easy It is to let a
matter of this kind go from day tb
day, but please be fair to Thorpe
and get your donations in early.
You will see by our financial
report that we are overdrawn for
the first time this year. We are
depending on your support for

FIGURES BREWERS FEAR
r'IBut drinkingis a OUSTOM.
Everybody in my class does it.
If you don't, your a freak".
Not so! In a recent book
"Drinking in College", (based on
a report of a survey conducted
by the Yale Centre of Alcoholic
Studies, this common belief is
exploded, Table 95, headed
"Attitude Toward Abstainers",
tells what happens to one soci.
ally if he does not drink in col-
lege.
Amongst every ten of his
classmates, there will be nine
who either do" not care or feel
admiration for the abstainer:
Just one will feel scorn or. pity.
And the girl who abstains.
Thirty-two per cent of her fel-
low students will not care at all.
Sixty-two will admire, approve
and respect her. Four .per cent
will feel hostility and two per
cent, pity. Almost two-thirds of
the women will think BETTER.
